How art commissions work
The customer contacts the artist and they will be send a form.
On the form, the customer must specify their requirements regarding the desired appearance of the artwork, following and respecting the Commission Information Page and choosing between the options presented there.
Once a category has been chosen, the customer must define: number of characters to be drawn if there is more than one, physical appearance of the character (e.g. clothes, hair, skin and eyes, physical size, etc,), how they should be positioned in the canvas, specify any style you want the artist to follow (e.g. anime, chibi, realistic, etc.), color palette, texture of the surfaces (ex: fur, metallic, shiny, rusted, glass, etc), type of background (plain color at no additional cost or specifically detailed at additional cost). If desired, the customer has the option of sending images as references to the artist, there will be no additional cost if they do so.
The artist will analyze the requirements, calculate the price and propose it to the customer.
Once the customer agrees to the price, and completes the form, the drafting stages will begin.
The rough draft will be made together with the rough color test, the customer will be entitled to request 5 adjustments to the draft and 5 adjustments to the color test at no additional cost.
The artist will refine the draft and refine the color test and send it to the customer. Once they are approved by the customer, they must pay the artist the first half of the agreed price.
Once the artist confirms the payment, the full painting and rendering stages will begin.
The customer will be entitled to 2 reasonable changes to the artwork at no additional cost at each stage of the process:
Line Art (if desired),

Base Color,

Shadow and Light,

Background

Refinement of details.

When the illustration is complete, the artist will send the customer a copy of the artwork with reduced quality and watermarks so that the customer can check whether the work meets their requirements and approve it. At this stage, if the customer requires any changes, they will be charged for them.
If the customer gives their final approval, they must pay the artist the other half of the price.
